About Me
My name is Alex McHaddad, and I am running for a full term as Elgin City Administrator in 2026. I moved to Union County in 2014 to attend Eastern Oregon University and fell in love with northeast Oregon. While studying public administration, managing a special district, chairing the Union County Republican Party, and serving on the Union County Budget Committee, I frequently saw the best of Elgin’s community leaders. When I had a chance to interview for the vacancy in the City Administrator’s office, I jumped at the chance to serve. I’m proud of the work I’ve accomplished with Mayor James Johnson and the Elgin City Council since my appointment in April 2024.
